Every gang sheet at InkDyno is 22 inches wide. The only real decision is length, and that decision is where most first orders go wrong: people either buy a sheet too small and order twice, or buy a long sheet and leave half of it empty. This guide shows how many designs fit on each common size, what each one works out to per print, and how to pick the right length before you open the builder.
How Gang Sheet Sizes Work
A gang sheet is one long piece of DTF film that you fill with as many designs as you want, in any mix of sizes. You pay for the sheet, not for each design. The width is fixed at 22 inches, so the size name tells you the length: a 22×60 is 22 inches wide and 60 inches long.
At InkDyno, standard DTF gang sheets come in these lengths: 24, 36, 48, 60, 84, 108, 120, 180 and 240 inches. If you are still deciding whether a gang sheet is right for you at all, read gang sheet vs single transfer first.
Common Design Sizes to Plan Around
Before you can count how many designs fit, you need to know how big each one will be. These are typical print widths for shirts and accessories:
- Adult full front: 10–12 inches wide
- Youth front: about 8 inches
- Toddler front: about 7 inches
- Left chest or pocket: 3.5–4 inches
- Hat front: about 4 × 2.5 inches
- Sleeve: 1–3 inches wide
Leave about a quarter inch between designs so they are easy to cut apart.
How Many Designs Fit on Each Gang Sheet Size?
The counts below assume square-ish designs with quarter-inch spacing: adult fronts at about 10.5 inches, youth at 8 inches and left-chest logos at 3.5 inches. Tall or oddly shaped artwork will fit fewer; small designs tucked into the gaps will fit more. Treat these as planning numbers, not guarantees. For your own mix of sizes and quantities, the gang sheet calculator does the math instantly.
| Sheet size | Price | Adult fronts (~10.5") | Youth fronts (~8") | Left chest (~3.5") | Approx. cost per adult front |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 22×24 | $18.99 | 4 | 4 + small fillers | about 30 | about $4.75 |
| 22×36 | $29.99 | 6 | 8 | about 45 | about $5.00 |
| 22×48 | $34.99 | 8 | 10 | about 60 | about $4.37 |
| 22×60 | $39.99 | 10 | 14 | about 80 | about $4.00 |
| 22×84 | $49.99 | 14 | 20 | about 110 | about $3.57 |
| 22×120 | $69.99 | 22 | 28 | about 160 | about $3.18 |
| 22×240 | $119.99 | 44 | 58 | about 320 | about $2.73 |
The pattern is clear: per print, longer sheets cost less. The 22×36 is the one exception in the table, because two rows of adult fronts leave a strip at the end. Fill that strip with left-chest logos or youth designs and the value comes back.
22×24 vs 22×60 vs 22×120: Which Should You Pick?
22×24: testing and small runs
Good for a handful of shirts, a birthday or a sample run of a new design before you list it. Four adult fronts, or two adult fronts plus a row of pockets and sleeves. If you only need one or two designs, also compare DTF by size, which prices each transfer by its dimensions.
22×60: the everyday seller sheet
About ten adult fronts, which covers a typical craft fair restock, a small team or a family event. It is the size many shops reorder weekly because it balances price per print against how much stock you want on hand.
22×120 and up: volume and events
For a whole team in every size, a church event, a reunion or a shop that sells the same bestsellers every week. At about 22 adult fronts on a 22×120, the cost per print drops well below the small sheets.
How to Fit More Designs on a Gang Sheet
- Set your real print sizes first. Decide each design's final width before uploading. A 12-inch design takes far more room than an 11-inch one across a 22-inch sheet.
- Place the biggest designs first. Put adult fronts in two columns down the sheet.
- Fill the gaps with small pieces. Left-chest logos, sleeve prints, hat designs and koozie-size art fit into the leftover space at no extra cost.
- Rotate tall designs. A design that is taller than it is wide sometimes fits better turned sideways, then you rotate it back when you press.
- Keep quarter-inch spacing. Tighter than that and cutting gets risky; much wider and you waste film.
- Check the file quality. Use PNGs with transparent backgrounds at 300 DPI. Our file requirements page explains what prints cleanly.
Don't Want to Lay Out a Sheet?
If you sell themed designs, a premade gang sheet is already filled with 10–16 coordinated designs for $39.99, ready to cut and press. Our premade gang sheets guide explains how they compare to building your own. And if you want sparkle, the Glitter DTF Gang Sheet Builder uses the same 22-inch width.
For tumblers and cups, use the UV DTF Sticker Gang Sheet Builder instead. UV DTF sheets also come in a smaller 22×12 size starting at $12.99, which fits a good batch of cup decals. See UV DTF vs DTF if you are not sure which you need.
Turnaround and Shipping
Standard DTF gang sheets ordered by 10 AM CT ship the same business day from Richmond, Texas, with delivery in 1–5 days across the US. DTF shipping is $5.99, and orders over $75 ship free, which is one more reason a single longer sheet often beats two short ones.
Frequently Asked Questions
What size gang sheet should I order for my first time?
Start with a 22×24 if you are testing designs or pressing fewer than five shirts. If you already know what sells, a 22×60 gives you a better price per print.
How many shirts can I make from a 22×60 gang sheet?
About 10 adult full-front designs at around 10.5 inches wide. Mix in smaller youth or pocket designs and you can get more pieces from the same sheet.
Can I mix different designs and sizes on one sheet?
Yes. That is the point of a gang sheet. Mix adult, youth, pocket, sleeve and hat designs in any combination.
Is there a minimum order or setup fee?
No. There is no minimum order and no setup fee on any gang sheet size.
How do I press the transfers after cutting them apart?
Press at 300°F for 10–15 seconds with medium pressure, peel cold or warm, then press again for 7–10 seconds under parchment. Full settings are on our press instructions page.
