You have a design. Maybe it is your small business logo, a family reunion graphic, a shirt for one event, or a baby bodysuit for a gift. You do not own a heat press, you do not want to order 24 pieces, and you do not want to spend an hour in a clunky online designer. This guide covers how to get a custom printed t-shirt (or hoodie, sweatshirt or onesie) with no minimum order, what it costs, which blank to pick and how fast it ships.
What "No Minimum" Actually Means
Most custom shirt printers quote a price for 12, 24 or 48 pieces and charge a setup fee for screens. That is fine for a company picnic and terrible for a single gift. InkDyno prints with DTF (direct-to-film), which has no screens and no setup, so the cost of printing one shirt is the same as printing one shirt out of a hundred. There is no minimum quantity and no setup fee on any of our custom apparel.
What It Costs
| Blank | Starting price (printed) | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Comfort Colors 1717 | $29.99 | Heavyweight, garment-dyed, vintage feel. Boutiques, church groups, family shirts. |
| Bella + Canvas 3001 | $29.99 | Soft, lighter, retail fit. Brand merch, everyday wear. |
| Bella + Canvas 3501 long sleeve | $37.47 | Fall and winter events. |
| Gildan 18000 crewneck | $34.35 | Cozy group sweatshirts, team gifts. |
| Gildan 18500 hoodie | $41.70 | Hoodies for teams, clubs and merch drops. |
| Youth / Toddler | $29.99 | Matching family sets, school events. |
| Bella + Canvas 100B onesie | $29.99 | Baby announcements, newborn gifts. |
Prices include the print. Shipping is $4.99 flat, free on orders over $75, so three shirts ship free.
How Ordering Works
- Pick a blank and color on the Design Your Own Apparel page. Comfort Colors 1717 comes in 13 garment-dyed colors; Bella + Canvas 3001 in 30+.
- Click "Design Now" and upload your file. A PNG with a transparent background prints cleanest; JPG, PDF, AI and PSD work too.
- Place and size it on the shirt mockup. You see exactly what we print: front, back or both.
- Choose size and quantity, add to cart, check out.
- We print it to order in 1–2 business days and ship from Texas with tracking (1–5 days by location).
No proof approval round, no emails back and forth. If something looks off in your file (low resolution, a stray background), we will contact you before printing.
Which Blank Should You Pick?
Comfort Colors 1717 is the shirt most of our customers choose. It is a 6.1 oz heavyweight, garment-dyed, with a relaxed boxy fit and the washed, lived-in colors (Pepper, Moss, Blue Jean, Ivory, Yam) that sell in boutiques and on Etsy. Pick it when the shirt is the product.
Bella + Canvas 3001 is lighter (4.2 oz Airlume cotton) with a slimmer, retail fit. Pick it for brand merch, staff shirts and anything people will wear in Texas heat.
Gildan 18000 / 18500 are the value sweatshirt and hoodie: fleece-lined, roomy, easy to print large designs on.

How the Print Looks and Lasts
We print with DTF, the same method used for our gang sheet transfers: full color, photo detail, gradients and fine lines, on light and dark garments. The print is soft and flexible, it does not crack with stretching, and it holds up for 50+ washes when you wash inside out in cold water and skip the dryer heat. Care details are in our washing instructions.
Common Uses
- Small business logo shirts: 2–5 staff shirts, reordered as you hire. Bella + Canvas 3001.
- Family reunions, cruises, birthdays: one design, mixed adult/youth/toddler sizes, everyone matches. Mix adult, youth and toddler.
- Baby announcements and gifts: a onesie with a name or a "coming soon" design.
- Church, team and school events: Comfort Colors in one color with names on the back.
- Etsy and boutique sellers testing a design: print one, photograph it, list it, reorder when it sells.
Already Own a Heat Press?
Then you may not need finished shirts at all. Order the design as a DTF transfer by size (from $2.99) or fill a gang sheet with many designs, and press onto your own blanks. The gang sheet vs single transfer post explains when each pays off.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order just one custom t-shirt?
Yes. There is no minimum order and no setup fee. One shirt costs the same per piece as a hundred.
How fast will my custom shirt ship?
Custom apparel is printed to order in 1–2 business days and ships from Texas; delivery takes 1–5 business days depending on your state.
What file do I need?
A PNG with a transparent background at 300 DPI gives the cleanest print. JPG, PDF, AI and PSD are also accepted. If you only have a photo of a design, our team can usually clean it up; contact us before ordering.
Can I print on the front and back?
Yes. Add a second placement in the designer. Names on the back are popular for group and team shirts.
Do you print on dark shirts?
Yes. DTF prints a white base under the design, so colors stay bright on black, navy and pepper.
Is there a bulk discount?
